Robin Przybysz

Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, in 1963, Robin Adams Przybysz grew up in a family that was involved in the arts, during a time when Cincinnati was experiencing a renaissance in music, visual and performing arts, and television. Her father was a commercial artist and lithographer and her uncle, a noteworthy sculptor, created numerous public sculptures found throughout the Midwest. While her siblings pursued interests in theatrical arts, modeling, landscape architecture, and the home arts, Przybysz developed a career in the fine arts.

From 1982-86, Przybysz attended the University of Cincinnati, graduating with Bachelor of Arts degrees in Fine Arts and Art Education. She was involved in a number of shows and installations during this time, both as a participant and a coordinator. In 1991, she returned to the University of Cincinnati to serve as an Adjunct Professor for the Art Education Department.

Przybysz has consistently been involved in teaching art, in addition to creating her own work. Although her training and early career focused on painting and drawing, she is known for her work in textiles, weaving, sculptural gourds, basketry and jewelry, receiving public and private recognition from galleries and collectors.
